Central America connects to North America in the North and South America to the southeast. This subcontinent borders with Mexico in the North and Colombia to the southeast. The Pacific Ocean is to the west and the Caribbean Sea lies in the east. The seven countries within Central America are Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama. Central America is a volcanic hot-spot, which extends from Guatemala through to Panama making central America an unstable region. However, an amazing continent to travel, I spent eight weeks travelling all seven countries and had an amazing time on the beaches of Belize, trekking volcanoes in Nicaragua and relaxing in the hot springs of Costa Rica… I travelled the entire subcontinent by bus and enjoyed every minute.
